# Governance Token $X

As a Real-World Business, the TaleX ecosystem is a fundamental part of the growing RWB market, powered by its own [**$X**](https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/talex/) token.

The native cryptographically-secure fungible protocol token of TaleX (ticker symbol $X) is a transferable representation of attributed utility functions specified in the protocol of TaleX, and which is designed to be used solely as an interoperable utility token thereon.

$X is a functional multi-utility token which will be used as a unit of account and economic incentive which will be distributed to encourage users to exert efforts towards contribution and participation in the ecosystem on TaleX, thereby creating a mutually beneficial system where every participant is fairly compensated for its efforts. $X is an integral and indispensable part of TaleX, because without $X, there would be no incentive for users to expend resources to participate in activities or provide services for the benefit of the ecosystem. Given that additional $X will be awarded to a user based only on its actual usage, activity and efforts made on TaleX and/or proportionate to the frequency and volume of transactions, users of TaleX and/or holders of $X which did not actively participate will not receive any $X incentives.

$X does not in any way represent any shareholding, ownership, participation, right, title, or interest in the Company, the Distributor, their respective affiliates, or any other company, enterprise or undertaking, nor will $X entitle token holders to any promise of fees, dividends, revenue, profits or investment returns, and are not intended to constitute securities in the British Virgin Islands, Singapore or any relevant jurisdiction. $X may only be utilized on TaleX, and ownership of the same carries no rights, express or implied, other than the right to use $X as a means to enable usage of and interaction within TaleX. The secondary market pricing of $X is not dependent on the effort of the TaleX team, and there is no token functionality or scheme designed to control or manipulate such secondary pricing.

For the avoidance of doubt, neither the Company nor the Distributor deals in, or is in the business of buying or selling any virtual asset or digital payment token (including $X). Any sale or distribution of tokens would be performed during a restricted initial period solely for the purpose of obtaining project development funds, raising market/brand awareness, as well as community building and social engagement; this is not conducted with any element of repetitiveness or regularity which would constitute a business.

[**$X**](https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/talex/) token adopts a user-driven business model. After the Token Generation Event (TGE), certain token allocations issuance is based on [**Proof-of-Purchase (PoP)**](/real-world-business/proof-of-purchase-pop.md) concept. Moreover, $X token is used as a reward token based on the concept of [**Tokens Replacing Loyalty Points**](/real-world-business/tokens-replacing-loyalty-points.md). Finally, $X serves as the main treasury asset of the company behind TaleX based on the [**Treasury as Liquidity Pool**](/real-world-business/treasury-as-liquidity-pool.md) concept.

### **Proof-of-Purchase (PoP) & Token Replacing Loyalty Points**

The **Community** allocation of the $X token is used to reward users of the [**TaleX app**](https://www.talex.world/) for their contribution. Every time users unlock or tip content in the TaleX app, they receive a **1% cashback in $X** tokens from the paid amount.

### **TaleX Treasury Asset**

Businesses are **encouraged to pair their own governance tokens with $X governance token as the unit of account in liquidity pools**, which is one of the **most scalable use cases for $X**. This would have the advantage of creating stability and certainty within the ecosystem.

### **TaleX Portfolio**

The **Ecosystem** allocation of the $X token is used to **invest** into other RWB projects in the TaleX ecosystem. We directly add liquidity between the RWB project’s governance token and $X, forming dual-token liquidity pools. Each liquidity pool acts as a self-contained treasury cell — an independent yet interconnected component of the broader **TaleX Portfolio**. This way, $X becomes indirectly backed by the collective value and performance of all TaleX-incubated projects — a dynamic, diversified portfolio of tokenized RWBs.
